When Did The Sexism Arise?
Sexism has existed since biblical times. The emphasis on man has been evident throughout history. The fight women put up for women's rights won them voting rights; but it did not earn them the self preservation and dignity that a man might have in today's society. Women has been degraded to just their body for years. With the growing accessibility to pornography, social media, and Hollywood, women's role in society has been placed in a much lower standpoint than a man. Where?Sexism, unfortunately is a widespread, and very controversial problem all over the world. Some argue sexism is a sham for feminists to get attention. Other devote feminists flaunt their ideals and march in parades waving signs demanding equality. Sexism is a problem even more severe in under developed countries, places in war and turmoil, and of religions were women are not seen as an equal made by God to man. More than anything Sexism is a recurring problem in the United States itself. The media, magazines, internet, workplace, and even government are all promoters of sexism.
